  • Beginner Sewing class.

    Sewing 101 is our foundation class, exploring the basics of sewing while learning to make a simple A-line skirt with elastic casing and little projects like bows and emoji pillows.  The skills you learn thru these projects will help you with sewing simple curtains and pillows too!

    We start with learning how to use a sewing machine.  How to operate it and properly thread it, all about pressing, seam allowances, pinning, using patterns, layout and cutting, a bit about measurements and the importance of fabric grainlines that are crucial for your sewing success.

    We have Brother sewing machines to use in class and you are welcomed to bring your own as long as it is in good working order.

  • Credit/ Refund Policy

    We can offer a refund if cancelled 5 days before class begins.  A credit for a future class if less than 5 days before the start of class.   Refunds are subject to a 20 percent service fee.

    Please inform us if you cannot make a class. A No Show for a class, club or camp the class fee is forfeited (no refund or credit). We have to plan our classes with the right amount of teachers and it helps us to know what our attendance will be.

    If a class does not meet our minimum we will reschedule to start the following week, if we cannot get a class going we will refund the class fee.

  • Dates/Times Beginner sewing class

    Mondays  (kids ages 8+)   4:15-6:00pm

    Mondays, (teens and Adults)   6:05-7:50pm

    Saturdays (ages 8 to adult)  11:00-12:45
