FASHION Boot Camp, learning the basics of sewing and fashion design
$95 a 4 1/2 hour intensive, materials and lunch included.

Where do designers get their ideas? How do they sketch out their ideas quickly? Who is on the designers' team and how do they work together to create a collection?
Our morning session is all about the basics of sewing where you will learn about the main tool; the sewing machine. We will learn how to operate it and how to thread it correctly. Learn about what are all those dials for? How to wind bobbins and the different kinds of stitches. Also, we will go over the other tools we use for garment construction.
In the afternoon, we are on to the design part. We will go over how the industry works, how a designer gets their inspiration and starts the design process. Learning the basics of sketching using croqui's, the templates designers us to sketch their ideas quickly.

Our morning session is all about the basics of sewing where you will learn how to thread and use the sewing machine. We will also go over the tools used for garment construction. Then making a simple project to help understand the basics.
In the afternoon, we are on to the design part. We will go over how the industry works, how a designer gets their inspiration and starts the design process.

Credit/ Refund Policy
Please inform us if you cannot make a class. If there is a No Show for a class, club or camp the class fee will be forfeited (no refund or credit). We have to plan our classes with the right amount of teachers and it helps us to know what our attendance will be.
Please communicate. We offer a class credit if cancelled less than 5 days before start of class. Refunds are subject to a 20 percent service fee.
If a class does not meet our minimum we will reschedule. If we cannot get a class going we will refund the class fee.
